If you want to keep your students longer, you have to understand that everyone is on their own journey. You have to create a success map for them and their individuality. So, everyone's on that extra journey. Everyone's got different results that they want to get. So, even though we have in martial arts a set path set out for them, it's important to understand that everyone has their own journey. So, go create your own success map for each and every single individual student and I'll guarantee you you keep them longer.

Crowd attracts a crowd. There's nothing like exciting classes to really help with your retention, not only from a student point of view, but also a referral if you really want to generate some excitement in your school. Some things that we do is make sure you've got a great programme, but more importantly, instructors are able to deliver that with enthusiasm, are able to deliver that in exciting and a fun way. I tell you what, your students will be loyal to you forever.

Praise, awards and postcards are all vital for your assistant instructors to be doing at the end of class. So what does this mean? Well praise, make sure your assistant instructors are continually praising your students, not just in the class, but after class with high fives, good jobs, and all that type of stuff. Don't forget your awards, little merit certificates, awards certificates, badges, all these little things are silly. Jelly beans that your students will thrive on for doing a great job in class. And last but not least, postcards. There is nothing better than your students getting that postcard in the mail. Man, you should see the smile on their face.
